She was a co-anchor of Today’s Take, the show’s third hour with Natalie Morales, Al Roker and Willie Geist. She currently works for Investigation Discovery Channel TV show, Deadline: Crime. She was nominated for an Emmy for her consumer report segment, “The Bottom Line.” Born Maggie Mae on September 16, 1970 in Luling, Texas, USA, to Mary Newton, she holds a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Temple University. She began her broadcasting career with KBTX in Bryan, Texas, as a general assignment reporter. She began dating fellow news anchor Lawrence O’donnell in 2011.
