Cheryl James is an American rapper and songwriter, best known as a member of the American Grammy–award winning female rap trio Salt-N-Pepa, along with Pepa and Spinderella. The group is best known for their hit song ‘Let’s Talk About Sex,’ which went certified gold and peaked at #13 on the US Charts in 1991. Her Salt-N-Pepa hit song, “Push It”, was ranked #37 on VH1’s “100 Greatest Dance Songs”. Salt starred in The Salt-N-Pepa Show, a reality TV series that aired on VH1 in 2008.
