Dikeh set up her foundation; The Tonto Dikeh Foundation on August 27, 2000. She made her music debut by releasing the singles “Hi” and “Itz Ova”, the latter of which features Snypa. Born Tonto Charity Dikeh on June 9, 1985 in Rivers, Nigeria, to parents Veronica and Sunny Dikeh, she is the third of five children. She is of Ikwerre descent. Dikeh lost her mother when she was just three years old, and was raised by her step-mother, who has two children. She studied petrochemical engineering at Rivers State University of Science and Technology. She gained national fame after appearing on the reality TV show The Next Movie Star. She married Andre Omodayo Churchill in 2015, and the couple had a son named Andre Omodayo in 2016 before getting divorced in 2017.
