Wotan Wilke Möhring is a German actor. He is best known for starring in Hat er Arbeit? (2000), Liebe und Verrat (2002), Antikörper (2005), The Fire (2011), Homevideo (2011), The Last Fine Day (2011), and Winnetou (2016). He received the German Television Prize as Best Actor in 2012. Born on May 23, 1967 in Detmold, Germany, his father, Heiko Möhring, was an army officer and his mother worked as a teacher. He grew up in Herne and has two brothers, Sönke and Hauke, and a sister, Wiebke. He received a Waldorf education in Herne and finished high school with the Abitur diploma. He then took vocational training to become electrician, but then worked as club owner, doorman and model. He studied Communication at the Berlin University of the Arts, joined actors workshops in Cologne and Los Angeles and lived for two years in New York City. He made his acting debut in the 1998 TV-movie Die Bubi-Scholz-Story alongside Benno Fürmann and Götz George.
