She became an established actress, appearing in the films Szlakiem hańby, Grzeszna miłość, Dusze w niewoli, Moralność Pani Dulskiej, Kobieta, która się śmieje, and Dziesięciu z Pawiaka. Born Zofia Maria Batycka on August 22, 1907 in Lemberg, Galicia, Austria-Hungary, to parents Janina Staniskich and Eugeniusz Batycki, her family owned the Palace of Turkull-Comello, where the Zofia spent her growing years. Zofia studied at the Janina Karlowicz Women’s Institute for Household Management, a private women’s school in Snopkiv. She made her film debut in Sinful love (1929) as Iza Chosowska. She died on June 9, 1989 in Los Angeles, California, United States. Zofia was married to François Pittevil.
